It may seem early to have a bridal shower more than three months before the wedding in August, but my school friends were really set on throwing me one, and since all of us were seniors and graduating that May and then going who knows where, they decided to have one before we all left. They were so secretive and tried to make all the details a surprise. All I knew was the time and location, and maybe a couple vague details from things they'd asked in passing like "what's your favorite color?" or "what kind of cake do you like?" It ended up being really nice, beautiful decorated with lots of wonderful food, and just a great time having one last get together before graduation. And I got to show them all the pictures from my wedding dress shopping excursion from the previous weekend, so they ooh-ed and aah-ed over all the dresses and put in their votes and such.

| Everything was beautiful! They decorated the whole place in various shades of blue with yellow tulips, and tons of food. There were three kinds of sandwiches cut into hearts, scones, mini quiches, fruit and veggie trays with various dips, lemonade, vanilla and chocolate marbled cupcakes (my favorite), lemon bars and brownie bites! so fun and pretty! and there were tons of leftovers that they let me take home (and although Danny did make fun of the heart shaped sandwiches, he appreciated the extra food all the same too). |
