These are a few pictures my friend took (I haven't had a chance to take many yet) around the town. The first is an overview of part of the town we saw on the bus coming in. The second is just one example of the narrow, random, steep paths that weave throughout the town. The third is the bell tower of a local church that is a couple buildings away from our center. They ring the bells very loudly three times a day. The last two are in the city's library of really old books, some dating before 11th century, with even handwritten books. It was really fascinating to see how well they have been able to preserve these books for hundreds of years.
