winter in Texas

This winter has been unusally cold for Texas. The Dallas area saw snow three times in December alone! I don't even remember it snowing the last couple years! And, amazingly enough, one of those snowfalls was on Christmas Eve and stuck around long enough for a (semi-)white Christmas.


... one really bizarre thing was when the pond froze over. We have a ton of mallard ducks at our ponds, and there they were, just sitting and walking and sliding across the ice. It was one of the weirdest things I've seen, especially because from a distance you couldn't even tell the pond was frozen. It just looked like these ducks were walking on water! haha.
